Invent Help Review from Fredericksburg, Virginia

Ernest of Fredericksburg, VA I asked my sister to go online and see what kind of information I could come up with in a patent attorney. When I got home from work the next morning, I talked to her and she said InventHelp. I've seen the commercials and George Foreman, somebody people know and had seen, is onboard with them. I felt I could trust them. So I contacted InventHelp and their representative, Mike, just felt right, and I really appreciate everything he does for me. He got online with me and walked me through the filling out of the paperwork. He's made the experience easy. Their reps were very courteous, professional, willing to help me with my concerns and able to answer any questions I had. Right now, I've already got some drawings of my invention. I'm just waiting on InventHelp's paperwork. There's a packet of information they're gonna send me that I need to fill out and send back to them. I’m waiting for the brochure to be created and approved but understand it’s gonna be a lengthy process. So far, it's been an excellent experience.

This is not an InventHelp client. The description of the services is not accurate; our pricing is clear and concise and there are no pricing options available; our patent referral services do not include a provisional patent, etc. This is not our company.

Omg thank you! You just saved me $13,000!

Everything you mentioned was explained to me! I'm supposed to pay a down payment on Monday! Now it won't happen. They already got $1,000 for patent search.

I guess that's my loss now.

I'm canceling them out! I'm so bummed!

Invent Help, helped themselves to my money onlY!

Notice the only thing that has been invented which was a hundred years ago is the Slip N Slide.

Do not let this company fool you.

It DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY QUESTION YOU ASK NOR THE INFORMATION YOU READ, THIS COMPANY IS GOING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN BESIDES RUIN YOUR CREDIT!

In the month of July of 2008, I went to the company called Invent Help.

This company is for people whom have inventions and want it on the Market Place.

Invent Help, helps people to launch their ideas and claims they help put your product in the Market Place.

I personally do not believe this to be true due to the fact of why I am writing to you today and the information I have been learning in the past few months.

I get is a lot of hot air!

On July 8, 2008 I was asked signed papers stating I give Invent help permission to research my product to see if there are any other products similar to my invention and to check the patent aspect of this product. The fee for this was $1000.00, which I agreed to pay and was paid in full based on Mr. Fosters information given me, at the time.

Mr.Joe Foster. whom is one of the spokes people for Invent Help.

The results came back as, there are not any products even close to my invention and the idea is patent-able.

I then was told I would have to pay a SMALL FEE for the Company Invent Help to get my product out into the Market Place which when a buyer comes a long , on top of the so called SMALL FEE which turned out to be $12,000.00, Invent Help wants from me , I would then pay Invent Help 22% of any offer made on my product if it is sold or displayed.

I was given a hundred papers or so to read.

I take all the information home to read with many of questions I needed answers to.

My main question was what if I say yes to all because I have money today, but I loose my job tomorrow and can not afford to pay being the payments are going to be $300 + dollars a month and the total amount due is $ 12,000.00 + . I explained to Mr. Foster I do not want to have a problem with my credit in the future nor do I want to be in debt over this?

Mr.Foster informed me and I quote The company that you will be paying your monthly payment to is a PRIVATE Company hired by Invent Help and works for us (meaning Invent Help) and will work with you if you have a payment problem and does not reflect your credit.

Mr. Foster said we (meaning Invent Help and Universal) will put your process on hold until you are able to pick up the pace of your payments and as far as your credit goes, being that Universal is a Private Company hired by US (meaning Invent Help), we have nothing to do with putting any marks on any persons credit if we had to stop the process of Marketing your product.

Money became extremely tight since January of 2010 and I have tried to understand why neither of these companies are willing to do what was said by the Invent Help company's Mr.Foster spokesman said BEFORE I SIGNED if I ran into a finance problem.

I have been arguing with both companies over this project for the past two months. Now I am out of $6,000.00 and my invention is not on the Market.

I called Mr. Foster and wanted to know why BEFORE I SIGNED the papers I was told one thing and a year later I have fallen on financial hard times, why is it that what was said by you (meaning Mr. Foster) when I signed the papers is not what is being done?

His reply is he will call the company and talk with them. In the mean time I have pulled my credit report and low and behold on my credit I am in the hole for 3 months of none-payment to the company of Universal which I was told is a private company and will not impare on my credit. I did get a call back from Mr. Foster and the reply is there is nothing he can do, he spoke to this person and that person. I said I do not understand , YOU SAID BEFORE I SIGNED TO AGREE TO THE TERMS, I WOULD BE ABLE TO STOP THE PROCESS AND PICK UP WHEN I AM BACK ON MY FEET AND THAT NO BAD CREDIT MARKS WOULD BE ON MY CREDIT!

I also told Mr. Foster UNIVERSAL IS ON my Credit Report.

This is not what you said would happen.

I know, not feel, I KNOW I HAVE SIGNED THESE PAPERS UNDER FALSE INFORMATION AND I WANT ACTION.

This company has NO RIGHT to have people sign papers under false information which is a bunch of smoke being blown in unmentionable places and being taken advantage.

I do not believe Mr.Foster when he says, he did not know the process would be unable to stop nor do I believe he did not know my credit would be marked BECAUSE HE SAID THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN AND IT DID.

I believe he did know this information before I signed the papers and still had me sign these papers anyway, but just did not care as long as I signed and if in the future I would fall on hard times because he did his part in false having me sign these papers and he still collects his check with out a problem which means he has earned his Browne points for the company of Invent Help and Universal which now he is acting like Universal is the company I signed with, but I was told I am with Invent Help, but this is not the case. Suddenly Universal is the one calling the shots and the Company Invent Help is on the back burner as a sister company.

I want action.

On top of this, this SCAM COMPANY INVENT HELP sends me every 3 months the same list of companies Invent Help claims they have sent my product to.

It is the same ALL THE TIME With the same list of companies.

Its as though there are 20 companies in their data base and every other month they change the lay out of the list, but if you read the list, they are all the same just in different order.

DO NOT THINK FOR ONE MOMENT THAT THIS INVENT HELP COMPANY IS GOING TO PUT YOUR PRODUCT ON MARKET BECAUSE IT IS A SCAM AND BEFORE YOU PAY $300.00 TO $12,000.00 LISTEN TO ME.

Don't waste your time, hope, money and expectations!

To prove my point, why doesn't Invention Help company state their average customer success rate?

In other words, how many customers of theirs who have spent thousands of dollars paying Invention Help and all of those other misleading companies that will create a package describing your product and soliciting it to so-called "interested companies probably interested in your product/invention" whose product was NOT seen as important or profitable enough to want your product?

Show us the percentage of Invent Help customers that have had their invention accepted by the various companies that MAY/MIGHT HAVE BEEN INTERESTED!

The average success rate is ONLY 3% on every single one of these misleading Invention Help Companies! FACT!

And how come on the list of so-called satisfied customers of Invent Help have never listed their product to the people reading their posts on various websites?

That's because THEY NEARLY do NOT EXIST. Please, save your time and money and pride and DO NOT allow these type of "wishful thinking Invention Help Companies" to mislead you and draw you in when they are encouraging and allowing you to think and believe that your product could actually be one of the 3% products that are excepted by Product Manufacturing Companies.

I have had the exact same issue. What it is Invent help has people taking out loans for them then you make their monthly payments.

However; there are no words in the contract that says you will be responsible for the loan if you drop out or breach the contract if your not satisfied. Read your contract carefully. The law suit in this matter would be under the deceptive practice act. You could win what you put into Inventhelp as well as proof of them getting you the bad credit punitive damage.

Hope this helps, oh hurry! You have 2 yrs to file a law suit from the time it took place.

I had the same experience, its a mail order company they do little to sell your product. They E mail out a flyer on your design and never make contact with any of the factories.

Only if someone should inquire on the product will they pick up a phone.

Basically I threw $10,000.00 out the window and into their pocket. George Foster should be ashamed of himself for representing this *** company.

I am very concerned about this too, I do not know how upfront this company is. My husband is getting ready to give them money also that he doesn't even have.

He says it's our way to financial security. I believe we need real security, but are we going to get it thru this company or are they just a rip off? I really need to know before we do this. My husband has built it up like we are really going to make lots of money and be worry free.

I really want to believe this but there is doubt.

he has already gave them $900.00 and has to come up with more. He really believes in it could anybody help me on here with any information anybody has that would be helpful please let me know

Ya that's messed up America has been taken over by greed and corruption everything we buy is so cheap imagine a world where we could have our great ideas go in front of people real people who can actually say wether or not that would be a great idea or that won't be useful to me look how many useless things we are shown an this company has the one commercial where they show the slip an slide guy and it's funny bc. Robin leach never spoke about that guys mansion on cribs but actors who pretend an don't add anything but a voice an face to pre written lines on camera lens which is less costly per minute millions or epic amount of money while these little vampire corps take the blood out of our veins an charge us money for the same things regular people invented over time an would love to profit from but the greed where does it I end if I could get two of the three ideas I have off the ground than I know somehow they would take it from me these companies are fraudulent an we as American people condone it bc we allow it to go on under our nose an we laugh at others misfortune an say under our breath they should have been smart they should know it's to good to be true.

Well there once was a time when America an the idea of republic ran by the people was to good to be true by our fathers fathers fathers fathers did this for us an warned us to not turn away from tyranny within our borders an never fought outside them once we go away from home who lose sight now we are to busy about war to pay attention it's all a joke we can all make a difference take down these big companies that own intevet for help bc they are controlling ideas taking them hiding them an keeping us blind they revised the constitution in 93. Let's stop this *** it's gone to far they are after me help me

Hi I am truly sorry you went through this situation with this company. I barely have any money and living on a monthly income.

So for two companies to have no heart to care about the outcome and the emotional effect this has been on you as others clients like you, there is no word that I can express of how some people can be that cold hearted. It make me believe that there is no company that inventhelp actually contact through business it just their own secret made up side business or better yet the two business are working together robbing innocent people. That is why inventhelp is still running commercials, they just have not got caught yet. I hope you get your hard earned money back and more.

They did nothing but blow smoke up my rear end. I hope that all their employees die a slow painful death!

This story is very scary, Many of the As seen on TV companies are based out of New Jersey These are the companies Inventhelp sends your items to. I happen to work for one of them.

These companies will review your item free of charge and tell you right then an there if it will work on TV and make you an offer. Go direct to the source is my recommendation.

You can find out by yourself. Just google the products that you see on tv and find out the companies that are selling them.

I've never understood why people are paying Invent Help to do anything (and they're paying more than $10,000+ to this scam each).

Save your money to hire a good patent attorney, and then once your patent application is filed then go to the companies yourself to pitch your product. If you're not willing to put in the sweat equity to find the companies and pitch the product you're never going to make any money from an invention, no matter how great the idea is.

Why is the spelling so bad in some of these comments? It makes me wonder if they are all being written by the same person.

This makes me as suspicious as, the company (Invent help) itself. I want to believe that these complaints are valid, but the typographical errors as well as the grammatical errors concern me. It's like the same someone who has a problem with the company is truly trying to bring others into their beef with this company.

But just so it's clear, I will NOT be using this company because, the things that are stated over and over, let's me know there is some amount of scam and deception going on. So I truly thank you, or you-all for the heads-up.

I Listen to this every morning on TV. "Call my friends at INVENTHEMP" I don't even call them Invethelp anymore.

I personally don't know much about the company, except for a person named Quintero who claims to work for them and has contacted me several times to schedule a meeting at his Manhattan office to discuss my invention. I'm a little iffy about it because once you're locked into a contract, you're bound by its terms, like them or not. My advice to anyone with an idea or invention is to patent it on your own using reputable companies like LegalZoom. ( https://www.legalzoom.com/ ).

I got my Provisional Application for Patent through LegalZoom for about $250. This is the first step to getting full patent consideration for your idea. I don't know what the final cost will be yet, but I'm confident it won't bankrupt me. Once you have your full patent, you can hire an attorney to handle all the legal matters concerning the sale or development of your invention.

This may cost you around $1,000 or so. If your invention has merit, this is a worthwhile investment because of how much you stand to earn if developed.

So put off buying that used Camaro of Mustang you've had your eye on. If you're going to gamble your last $1,500, a patent for your idea may yield the better long-term benefits

Anonymous
#949372
@PissedConsumer903680

Sorry, but you got scammed by legal zoom too. A provisional application is normally a waste of your time and money (especially if a lawyer didn't prepare the provisional for you!).

They expire in a year and you have to file a non-provisional application within a year. The provisional applications that legal zoom has you pay for do NOT result in a patent. You MUST file a non-provisional application for a patent examiner to examine and for the patent to issue as a patent.

Don't waste your money with legal zoom.

Save your money and hire a proper patent attorney to file a non-provisional patent application for you. It will cost a lot more than $1,000 to get a patent (sorry but that's the truth). To give you an idea, as a "micro entity" solo inventor here are the types of fees you'll be paying (most are required and some are just likely like the RCE and time extensions): basic filing fee $70, search fee $150, examination fee $180, RCE fee $300, reply time extension fees 1-6 months $50-750, and if the patent is allowed then there is the $240 allowance fee followed by maintenance fees to keep the patent alive due at 3.5 years ($400), 7.5 years ($900), and 11.5 years ($1,850). These are just some of the fees the patent office charges.

That's not even including what your attorney will charge along the way in order to prepare the application and file responses to rejections from the patent examiner.

Expect the patent attorney to charge thousands of dollars to file the application and respond to the rejections. I'd budget $10,000 to $15,000 all together to get a patent.

How is this company (Invent Help) allowed to still be in business as well as have advertisement on TV presently 9-24-14? They should be out of business by all the lawsuits that should have happened.

I had the same exact thing done to me as a matter of fact I am going through it now his name is Paul Foster and his office New Jersey, he told me exactly the same thing. I am also receiving the same bogus list of companies it's been going on three years and I should've had my products on the market and in stores I now Paul forced to see that the products are already out here but my type of product would be easier to make because they make these things every day.

These people are out to get whatever they can from hard-working citizens these people they are not God conscious if they were they would not do what they do to people I believe they are greedy selfish crooks. They are now hounding me for the remaining of my $13,000 which I don't have and which I don't intend to pay.

If they want to get paid then the only way they will is if they put my products on the market and in the stores like they lead me to believe that it could be and would be Paul Foster told me that I should go ahead and do it but when I signed the papers they said did anyone persuade you or say that it was a good idea I answered yes ....which he (Paul Foster) did but sent the forms back and said that I should not say that because the company will get in trouble for giving me advice . Instead of invent help doing right by others they rather rob people of their life savings and hard earned money then to really make money on products that are presented to them from other people I believe they still Ideas have us finance the money and they get the money and we have to pay it back and we gain nothing but a bad credit score and in debt I hope someone out there can do something about that company shut them down audit them and put them out of business and make them pay back the money that they stole from us

I believe "Invent Help" and "Davison" are connected. They are both out of PA and they both have you signing an agreement saying you can only bring a lawsuit against them in their State.

Which means they pay off the Judge(s) to always be in their favor. And, think about it; by the time you have lost thousands of dollars to them you have to reread your agreement because they will remind you that you signed and agreed to this. Now how many of you outside PA are going to move there to file your suit?

A suit can take months even years so they are betting they won't be seeing you, EVER!

STOP! Don't invest a single dollar into your invention -- help company you're thinking about using to solicit your so-called great idea until you read this:

Invention Home company as well as all of the other invention - help companies will take your money and you will get nothing for it in return! This is a 97% accurate statement!

Only 3% of inventions/ideas solicited by these invention - home companies are accepted by manufacturers/private companies. Invention Home told me this. I believed at least one of the two inventions I paid them $6000 to make a product presentation of my inventions and solicit it to potential manufacturers/private companies would have fit within that 3%. WRONG! I foolishly believed my two inventions/ideas would be accepted and produced by a manufacturer or private company. I honestly believed my two products would have sold well in the stores if produced and presented. I believed this because the products I invented were extremely useful and appreciated because I enjoy using it at home as well as my friends, family and neighbors. They all said they agreed with me how useful and beneficial like two products were and they still have and use the prototypes I made and gave each of them. Does this sound familiar to you regarding your inventions/idea?

This website indirectly solicits possible customers to lawyers to consider taking on the case for the people who place posts at this website regarding dissatisfaction with a product or service of a company. I think it's a great idea and I hope this website continues it. But, no lawyer can help me nor any of you other inventors out there regarding this problem. These invention - help companies spend thousands of dollars making sure they worded the contract properly which you sign in agreement before you pay them thousands of dollars to create a product description package of your idea/invention and solicit it to so-called hundreds and hundreds of potentially interested manufacturers or private companies.

At the end of the year of my two inventions being solicited by Invention Home they told me they had solicited my two inventions to over 400 and 600 various manufacturers/companies related to the idea/invention. How did they come up with that number?! I looked on the Internet for all manufacturers and companies related to my two inventions and only found a handful, worldwide. And when I ask them about those 400 and 600 related manufacturers/companies they would not tell me who they were, as agreed to par the contract/agreement I signed prior to paying them $6000 for soliciting my two inventions.

All of these invention -- help companies lead you to believe YOUR INVENTION may indeed be one of the 3% accepted products by a manufacturer or private company by simply telling you that they see some unusual unique ideas/inventions excepted which most people would not think Manufacturers would accept. But, what they don't tell you is the true facts: The only products excepted by manufacturers are those related to the medical industry or some handy dandy tool for home use like the ones you see on info commercials late at night on TV. You never get to see how successful or unsuccessful those handy dandy tool sales are through those late-night info commercials.

Invention Home lead me to believe my products just might make it and be accepted by a manufacturer or private company by NOT TRYING to make me realize how slim the chance I or any of us have in getting a manufacturer or private company to purchase our idea/invention.

Invention Home receives approximately 2 or three new customers a week continuously, as I was told by them. Which means, obviously, they are taking approximately $6000 a week, $312,000 minimum a year and ONLY 3% of those customers will have their ideas/inventions accepted and used by companies, as I was also told by Invention Home. In other words, 97% of those customers have just lost all of their money, hopes and dreams of having their product become successful and available to others at stores.

PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE, which cost me $6000 to learn about, DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY to any of these intervention -- help companies because your product WILL NOT BE EXCEPTED! Unless it is a medical tool or device or something like a 12-in-one screwdriver for home project use!

The most practical, simple, direct and immediate way to begin sales of your product is to manufacture it yourself using your money, your hands and your home to build these products. A perfect example I can share with you is what I did with one of my inventions about 15 years ago. I came up with an idea/design to quickly and easily remove scratches on fast food restaurant bathroom mirrors. The concept was simple. To remove scratches from the mirrors which the neighborhood Hispanic gang members love to scratch by signing their name or gang sign on I simply designed a mirror system with a replaceable shield covering/protecting the mirror. So, now the scratches on the mirror could be removed in three minutes time and at a cost of about three dollars. The fast food restaurants really love the idea/design because it meant they don't have to close down the bathroom for a half hour while the mirror companies replace the scratched mirror. Within a 50 mile radius of my home I sold and installed over 150 of these mirror protection systems and brought in over $18,000 in the first four months of business! I also did not spend any money or time in a patent search or patent protection for my product.I believed it was a completely new concept and the big companies would not come after me if they did happen to have something similar to it. I wasn't rich and I was just a private individual trying to make some money on an idea I came up with and could find no one else with anything similar to my idea/invention. And companies/corporations are not going to waste their time and money on one individual selling a few items related to their product. They will simply tell you to stop making it immediately or they will take legal actions against you. That's all that will happen. I did pay my state taxes on profit made from that mirror protection system.

If anyone has any questions for me regarding anything here please feel free to respond to my post and I will reply ASAP.

DON'T BE A FOOL WITH YOUR MONEY, PRIDE AND HOPE as had happened to me after I foolishly gave Invention Home $6000 of my hard earned money and then realized what a scam these invention -- help companies TRULY ARE! Do it yourself or not at all !!!!!!

###### And to those whom leave worthless negative comments and insults to us who are extremely creative and can afford to try to market our product on a larger scale---it shows how ENVIOUS you are to others whom are better than you! So, go ahead and leave your negative comments on what I and the other inventor said here if that helps put your ENVY at ease. So, :cry and :grin and :zzz and :p to you! :grin

Invent help had scammed the many in here as a API called invention submission substance company did to me back inn the 1970s. That company's name was, Raymond Lee Organization.

They were located in New York City at the time and after speaking to someone there and drawing my invention/idea on their grid paper and submitting the same to them, several months went by, I attempted to contact them by telephone, however they never responded. Long sorry short, one day my dad called me from the living room to rush and check out the news. The report on channel 7 news in New York, was an exclusive investigation on this company our fictitious company called, Raymond Lee Organization! The idea never came out as I had drawn it up, however some attributes of the idea I have to RLO, have been integrated into the office electronics since then.

These people are predator with allot of pull and knowledge of laws and bylaws, our else they would not get away with their unscrupulous acts. We consumers must demand legal protection from the government or obtain legal representation before ever thinking of submitting any ideas that can cost us dearly, to all of these predators.

People, before submitting anything to any body claiming they can help you with your ideas our inventions, first try to patent your idea with the department of parents in your city. At least if we have a patent, these process cannot or should not be able to stall the same from us.

wow, you're really dumb. There's a sucker born every minute, as P.T.

Barnum said. A little help going forward, giving money up front like that, blindly, is not a GOOD sign. You should be showing your invention to people, and they should be giving YOU money if they believe in it, or setting up the infrastructure to help you (and them) be successful. Someone telling you to just give them money, so so dumb of you to give it to them.

Did you go to college? Do you have a modicum of common sense?

I do feel bad, because if you're dumb enough to go about all of this in the way you did, I can't imagine your "invention" was of any real significance, it's unlikely you had a real breakthrough on your hands, just a simple consumer good of little technological import, which makes it all the more tragic that you wasted so much money and time, for literally nothing. Hopefully you learned a lesson.

I had the same experience with InventHelp, in particular Brian Porter in Mississauga, ontario. At first he seemed like a good guy, but then started to show signs of being an oily salesman. I should have listened to the red flags going off in my head. He verbally told me, he would get my product in front of manufacturers (the contract said completely the opposite). They will tell you one thing, and get you to sign a contract with different rules. I was *** and didn't take the contract to a lawyer. Its so technical and written in legal jargon, I still couldn't make sense of it. But that's what they count on. They flatter you about your product and give you false hopes.

Don't fall for it, just google more Inventhelp scams, and you will see the trail of destruction they have left.

the whole thing cost me nearly $20,000, I've lost my wife, my house, and I am the laughing stock amongst my friends. I have been depressed for over 2 years, and I'm suicidal now.

Brian Porter if you ever read this, I don't know how you can do this to people - good people

Further to the previous story - Davison is also a scam company - I thought I was hiring them because they claimed they were much better than Inventhelp. i was about to mail in a cheque and looked up their address using google, and that's when I discovered they were both scams.

Luckily I hadn't paid them anything.

But that day was the beginning of the end of my life.

Thanks for the confirmation of my suspicions, JustinfromToronto. I had an initial interview with Mr.

He stressed how they "won't mislead you with false praise for your invention", but will "only look at numbers, things business people want to see". But something in his utter preoccupation in getting me to sign up really quick (before I could read all the paperwork?) set off alarm bells.

So I checked around the net, and am not surprised to see so many stories of bad dealings re this place.

Thanks again for the warning. I have better places to market my invention through.

You can conduct a reasonably thorough patent search yourself thru the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office). If preliminary results are favorable, proceed to a patent attorney with full copyright/trademark registrations in place. Do not ever share an idea without first legally asserting your ownership this way.

There is this highly reputable invention company called Lambert and Lambert. The name says it all! They are part of the IP watchdog, I believe, which is an inventors rights association. The association was created by a U.S. patent attorney, who actually refers his clients to L & L!

Check them both out! You won't be disappointed!

And best luck to any inventors out there!

Happy Thanksgiving!

You will pay $300 for them to reject your idea. So if they don't like it does that mean that it has no merit?

NO!

It means that you fall into about 99% of the people who paid money to get rejected, seriously...are you so unsure that one opinion will crush your desire to even try? If that's the case, just keep working for the man for the rest of your life, the invention game is not for those who quit when the first person says "no".

So does anyone recommend a invent company that does not take your money and run?

Anonymous

@PissedConsumer568617

I found a great invention development company called StudioMoya (www.studiomoyadesign.com)

Initial consultation was FREE and they signed an NDA agreeing they had no rights to my product.

They designed and prototyped my invention in about 6 weeks. I'm already pitching my idea, filed a provisional patent, and have 1 company interested in licensing my invention and 2 retailers who want to put it in their stores.

I've now got a second idea that I am going to have StudioMoya design for me.

@PissedConsumer566551

They WILL use it. I had an invention that wasn't on the market before I outlined it for InventHelp, it is now on the market (it was about 6 months after I outlined the idea).

I tried to be sort of vague about my idea - the details anyway - but I guess I was too specific because they stole my idea! Here's the worst part - even if you can prove it was your idea; if the person who goes to market with it gets there first, you're screwed!! Because I had an inkling this might happen, I tried mailing myself my own idea based on a recommendation I found online. The idea was to mail your invention to yourself and to not open the envelope, the post date on the envelope would cover you if someone stole your idea.

So I did that, talked with InventHelp, and decided they were a scam and that when I had time I'd go forward with my invention. I was busy with school so the idea fell by wayside for a while, then I started to check into getting a patent myself (easy to look up how to do this online). About a week into the process, my husband brings me a catalog - with my invention - right there in the mail catalog. I look at those catalogs ALL THE TIME, and it had never been in any of them before I submitted it to InventHelp.

My conclusion? They make their money by scamming those who'll pay then up front. (Though I don't think that is their main source of income; how could it be when most of us here are skeptical and research first & therefore don't pay?) Then on the back end they steal the ideas of those of us who are too skeptical to ever pay them. They have the resources to get the products to market, we don't.

That simple! P.S. I later found out the mailing the idea to yourself thing doesn't work. It does not cover you, so don't use that as a back up plan!

There are patent lawyers out there who can help you, and better to pay them than any company like InventHelp or others. Also you can start the patent process online - try LegalZoom.

They seem much more reputable so I'd try there first. It might be work to get your invention out there but it shouldn't cost you thousands of dollars before it even gets manufactured!!!

I went to invent help for a second time and the red flag went up when rhe salesman agressively wanted to see my first sales pitch folder. This guy actually took out the orginal price sheet and put a new one in it's place.

When I ask him what he was doing and ask him what he put on the floor he then told me the pricing went up $1,000 from my first visit (2 months earlier). I only need one red flag.

After leaving Invention this morning I had the same *** feeling I had when I was 17. Thanks for all the personal info

I answered a newspaper want ad for an engineer to evaluate new inventions and markets for them. I went into an interview with this "Invention Submission Company" that had a "top executive" who told me what his company did.

He showed me his latest "super duper market buster" of a plastic practice golf ball that recorded the distance of a drive with a plastic plug (like the pop up thermometer on a roast turkey).

Then he hit me with the big pitch--if I joined his company I would be expected to contribute funds to go toward advertising the company. He wanted me to pay to work there! That is the level these people stoop to.

Here is the kicker--this happened in the summer of 1971!!! So you see the shafting started long ago and continues today!!

InventHelp is a facade of a company, maknig money on the hopes and dreams of Americans. They hide behind their fancy building and clever drawings of your invention, only to be of no help in the end.

I understood going into this investment that there were no guarantees, but after the initial binding of my invention, the company did nothing but continue to take my money and send me "updates" which seemed vague and inconclusive. Anytime I attempted to contact someone, I reached message machines and no return calls.

Save yourself the time and money and pursue your invention on your own. I have been making payments for three years now and have nothing to show for it other than a handful of letters.

The issue here is that they clearly mislead and SAID one thing - but did another.

You don't need companies like this you can do it yourself. A Provisional Patent is under 300.00 and there are companies on the web that will help you file the documents.

Sometimes all you need is a copyright and that is even less. There are even some circumstances where a copyright will protect you more than a patent. Of course it has to be copyrightable. Now..

these Invention companies are legit and they are not doing anything illegal but they charge way too much for their services. All you need to do is 1.

Draw it, Get A Provisional patent or Copyright, Have it made and then bust your *** on the phone, email, snail mail and show it to industry. If the industry is interested in your product...Get A Lawyer and sign a contract..

Yes, I have some information for you.

Have you heard of something called

pre-patent protection? This will be valid

for one year, but it is renewable.

All you need to do is to record your idea

in a special workbook, called "Invention

Workbook", a cheap school note book will not do.

After you write down your idea (it should be

hand written), you need to find two people

whom you trust, and they should not be your

relatives. These two people will act as

witnesses.

This Invention Workbook will take 20 ideas,

but there are certain rules you have to

follow when using it.

You're an *** and can back it up by spewing garbage that you have no knowledge of. I you but only a little bit of research you would crawl back under the Rick that his you from the world you wish you belonged.

Pre patent protection? Really, you clown? Do you refer to a provisional patent? Which is NOT a patent.

Or do you refer to a letter you mail to yourself, which is worth about as much as the postage. People, if you have any intelligence, don't waste your time thinking what this *** has posted.

Not a scam. With any submission of a new product, risk is involved.

You have to analyze the product and access whether it is A: worth patenting in the first place and B: Easily/Somewhat Matketable. Manufacturers have to see $$ in your idea point blank. Invent help offers a service to 1: Research your idea and determine patent ability, 2: Compile information regarding price of unit, components and information as well as further research by their research team, 3: Patent (Process of patent pending and patent protection) and submit your idea for "Good Faith" reviews. Its not their job to say whether your idea sucks or not YOU have to have the confidence in it in the first place to be willing to pay thousands of dollars in the development of it.

Plus, they finance Half of the patent price! From what I am told they don't always finance if they do not see potential in the idea, but that could be a marketing ploy.

Nonetheless, it's unfair to say they are a scam or don't do their job because an idea does not spark interest, that's the world we live in. Does not mean Invent Help is not doing their job.

Invent help offered to do research to make sure there wasnt an existing product like mine for $399. then to patent it within 30day for another $699 in which the patent would be valid for 1yrs time.(sounds great)But before commiting to anything i have done some research and im not feeling to positive about using this company. 1)

basic information package seems like more of a business plan. I can do my own BP why should I pay 998 dollars for that.

2) They did not talk about the help on the design or the professional engineers who would help be to redesign...what are the trail and errors...nothing in details. Just told me that it is information package and read on the head line, it seemed to me like a marketing business plan, the Rep was reading...But, the Patent searh for 200 dollars seemed okay. But, its a package you have to pay 1200 for these things, when you donot need their help on a business plan.

Over All not bad. If somebody needs such.

TWO SIDES TO A STORY: I found this post to be helpful. I went to InventHelp when they were the InventionSubmissionCorportion (ISC) in 2001.Itz unfortunate what happened to you & i wish you well with your invention.

I am inventing a board game & iSC explained evrything to me. All their paperwork says they do not guarantee success. In southern CA tir rep was on point. I paid the $800 for their Basic Info Packet which compiled a lot of stAts and reserch I did not have time to do, and the book boosted my project months ahead. They gave me the book before I was even done making payments.

I have investors now so we might end up networking with potential manufacturers ourselves. But if it becomes too tedious I MAY conzider InventHelp again. They quoted me about 9000 to have them do the running round from company to company trying to get a deal, but they didnt seem to care bout tht. They said they would have that financed & tht I could make payments monthly,(which I knew Iwohld have to pay back.)

I guess I had a betTer rep, but lets face it, theyre all salesmen on commission, so I read through every stitch of paperwork & knew what to expect.

I especially liked the fact that they would begin the process with just down payment of a1000. Yeah, if they found buyer, they would

also make me pay 20% of wht my invention sold foras a finders fee. It seemed as though my rep was more after the20% & thT they couldhve cared less bout the 9000 they were asking for back then,( which they wouldhve allowed me to pay 100 or so in monthly payments.) Chump change to a multi million dollr company.

But my board game is HOT so I might have an optomistic outlook since most companies drop jaw when they see me comin thru the door. I believe they couldhve easily found manufacturers iF Id begun paying them.

I encourage all to be as involved with your project as much as possible, even if you hire representation. Of course Iam leary about this company now, since this is the 2nd scam related post. But I havent seen any way they really scammed any1,just a few inventors who MAY not have been involved enough in their own product enough to help MAKE IT SELL. No disrespect, but I wouldhave been all at their office every other day until I heard them sellin something,if they had my 6gs. Good Luck

The company called Inventhelp use to have another name (Invention Submission Corporation)that went out of business for mysterious reasons. I actually went through ISC with my invention submission and spent close to $10,000.00 doing it. They had me get contact info for some companies that would be interested in my invention, telling me that I needed to help them to help me. So I did, I found the contact info for several major companies. After I sent them the money for their patent atty., filing and research fees, etc. They said they are contacting a wide range of companies and sending them press releases about my invention. They did send me several lists of the companies that they said they contacted. At this point I didn'y have any concerns. Then one day I decided to check their web site to see if my invention was still listed on it. Under a search engine I found Invention Submission Corporation, but jus under that I saw a site titled Invention Fraud. Just for fun I checked the fraud site. It named Invention Submission Corporation as the number one bad boy for fraud. I decided to write to ALL the companies that ISC sent to me where they said they sent press releases. A lot of them were returned as Return to Sender no longer at this address, or the company did write back saying they either don't have anything to do with production or that they don't have any idea what I was talking about and never heard of Invention Submission Corporation. I then contacted the companies that would have been interested in my invention. They said they researched 3 mo. before and 3 mo. after the date that ISC said they submitted the Press Release. But they had no such submission. I tried to contact ISC about this but just like their new company name Inventhelp, there is no way to e-mail them. Just like their previous company name of Invention Submission Corporation their site cannot accept any comments due to site problems.

I saw that on the invention fraud site that i went to a long time ago that there was only a 0.2 success rate for ISC... It is funny that even with the new name they still have the same sucky success rate. They do use the same caveman symbol and mailing address too. I wish there was a way to take these people down perminately.

I also noticed that it was funny that Inventhelp even has invention fraud websites under their name and of course they say that they are not a fraudulent company..... of course there is no way to e-mail them on this site either. And if you try calling their phone you will just get an answering machine with no calles returned to you.

I SAY SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONG YOU CAN... DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A MAJOR SCAM!!

So I did't pursue, a year later, I saw my idea on the market!!

Which is being sold to this day!

I am so angry and upset, there is nothing I can do, they don't only steal your money, the STEAL YOUR IDEAS!! After a year, they sell your good ideas themselves and reap the benefits, I hope this company goes bankrupt and gets exposed for the scammers they are!

Hi, all out there who think these guys are real.

I first looked at invention patents back in 1960 in the UK through a show called Tomorrows World.

Since then the world has come a long way.

There are numerous guys out there trying to scam you and Davidson was the first and I bet he or his spawn are still out there sucking any inventive person into their web.

I tested them and checked them out.

Same old BS, I can get your idea patented if you send me X amount of money.

Please do not send these *** a dime or a penny.

Try another route like a trade show but do not fall victim to these Leeches.

I investigated Davidson and he scammed thousands of people and only had 4 ideas patented. I bet he made all the money off them too.

Sincerely, Bob

None of their services are worth anything near what they charge, it's a joke and you have to be *** to ride that much money on a company instead of your invention.

I would bet you didn't read the hundred or so pages they gave you to read. You took a verbal statement which I would bet is unrecorded with or without consent, no emails to the person with conversations summaries to log it into some sort of record and now you're pissed because you handled your business in an incredibly sloppy manner.

Naive gullible irresponsible people do this type of thing in "business" all the time, and then whine when the deal goes south. You guys walk into things like this as if anyone is going to watch out for your interests.

You do that, and you're bound to get burned 99% of the time, and from your lil story it sounds like that's exactly what you did.

No sympathy from me sister.

I had a similar experience with "Invention Submission Corporation" (that one on TV with "1-800-IDEA" as part of their telephone number.)In 1991 I presented two ideas to them. When I was asked which of my ideas I wanted to pursue first, I chose the "single sheet, pop up paper towel" for the home because it was the least costly to manufacture and the proceeds from it would help pay for my other, more costly invention.

I paid the research, patents, and etc. money in payments and received a 38 page, hard bound book about my invention. Later, I was told that my idea had been presented at several industry conventions but none of the paper towel companies were interested. I took part in a class action suit against the company and received a small fraction of my money back.

What bothers me most is that last year, KLEENEX came out with my product. :cry

Mr/Miss/Mrs Jean Cunningham, you have been exposed. Let me venture a guess...

did you also carry racist signs at the Tea Party rallies? Same tactic, right?

My theory seems to have shut this poser up... all of the other posts to this thread have resulted in near immediate (and unintelligible) responses from this poser. Now that he/she has been outed...

Oh man, you are so brilliant. You figured out tha I put text that wasn't my name in the box that says 'Name'.

I take back everything I said. You're a genius.

Actually, before I go, I will posit a theory. Suppose there is a company that makes a business of scamming ignorant people. These ignorant people sometimes make public accusations that are embarrassing.

This can make it hard to find new suckers (customers). Now suppose this company is pretty smart. Let's assume they know the best way to defend yourself is to male your detractors look, well, completely insane and unreasonable. How better to do this then pose as a hopelessly ignorant victim on a board like this?

I mean, read through the messages here and tell me it is possible for a person to be this ignorant. I call BS.

JeanCunningham contradicts him/herself over and over, and purposely misses the point of every email. Every response is a misdirection, a classic tell, and I refuse to believe that any real person is legitimately this ignorant.

I am reading a 3 year old's comment?

This was not called a loan from the person of whom I was speaking to TO SIGN UP ! This is an Investment, understand, mr talking to a 3 year old and I may not be the smartest tool in the box, but I do know you are the same person using different names to put your comments on line acting as if you are many people trying to know what is going on, but for your info, Mr talking to a 3 year old, Mr. Foster is NOT DENYING THAT HE TRICKED ME- HE HAS SAID HE DID SAY THIS IN ORDER FOR ME TO SIGN THE PAPERS. HE IS A REAL MAN UNLIKE YOU WHOM IS THREE.

INVENT HELP/UNIVERSAL IS WILLING TO TAKE THIS MESS OF MY CREDIT AND GIVE ME BACK $1500.00, BUT I PAID $6000.00 AND $1500.00 JUST WILL NOT CUT THIS! UNDERSTAND MR 3 YEARS OLD, WHICH YOU ARE! NOW STOP SIGNING UP UNDER DIFFERENT NAMES AND LEAVE ME ALONE.

PEOPLE PLEASE, LIKE I SAID, I MAY NOT BE THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE BOX, BUT THIS PERSON I REALLY, REALLY BELIEVE IS THE SAME PERSON WRITING ALL THESE COMMENTS, WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas Everybody

You're clearly never going to understand anything I write, but for those of you watching.... here's the deal as far as I can tell.

Jean has an invention. jen contracted InventHelp to market the invention. InventHelp charges a big fee up front. This fee was paid by Jean taking out a loan from Universal. For some reason, Jean (who isn't the sharpest tool in the shed) thinks that this company that loaned the money is somehow going to forgive the loan just because Jean cannot afford the loan anymore. Meanwhile, the loan company notified the credit bureaus of the loan (which is exactly what every company in America does when they extend credit). Then, Jean decided to apply for a home loan, and was questioned about the loan from Universal. Maybe Universal put a non-payment record in there, but it's hard to tell from these frantic and idiotic posts. All of this leads me to believe that Jean is, in fact, incompetent. This is not to imply that Jean didn't get screwed. Unfortunately for Jean, this whole situation is made worse by sheer inability to grasp reality.

I started out investigating Invent Help to see if it was a scam. They sure sound like a scam, but I haven't found many legitimate complaints from lucid, reasonable people yet. I remain skeptical. As anyone who has been around knows, inventions are very expensive to document, research, and protect. It can cost upwards of $100,000 just to file a proper patent. This is why my spidey senses go up when a company like this starts making ridiculous promises and scamming poor people out of their hard-earned money. I guess it is much easier to do when your customers are like Jean, incompetent.

I was not questioned by Invent Help/Universal Inc.!!!!

I WAS QUESTIONED BY THE LOAN OFFICER WHOM TOOK THE INFORMATION BASED ON A HOME I WAS TO BUY, UNTIL THE LOAN AMOUNT TO LIVE IN READING, PA WOULD HAVE BEEN A 1700.00+ FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW? HAD YOU READ AND UNDERSTOOD WHAT I WROT, YOU WOULD NOT BE WASTING MY TIME WITH THIS MESSAGE I FEEL I NEEDED TO SEND BACK AT YOU!

You yourself said you were being questioned about 'this large loan from INVENT HELP/UNIVERSAL', so the fact is, you did take out a loan.

You are just not smart enough to understand any of this. I think your best case is to have yourself declared incompetent and nullify the contracts.

And then you go accusing me of working for them. Truly delusional. You contradict yourself repeatedly in your statements, and you write like a Nigerian scammer. You wouldn't be the same guy that told me I have $50,0000,000 you can help me get out of Nigeria, are you?

I really am sad for you. Life without a brain must be really hard.

Hello Mr. can't fix it, YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS A COMPLETE ***! Apparently you did not read my statement?

This was not to be a loan, this was to be an investment, by investing money to make money or have you not heard of this? ***. You need to spend money to make money! ***!

IT IS MY INVESTMENT and I will be investing into MY INVESTMENT TO MAKE MONEY!

This is part of the problem I have with Invent Help/Universal, because I was told by Mr.Foster I am investing my money and is not to be concidered a loan, therefor if I need to put the investment payments on hold, I may do so without consiquence of this information going on my credit due to the fact that Universal Inc. is a private company hired by and works for Invent Help ONLY and has no ties to Transunion, Equifax nor Experian, MR.CAN'T FIX -***!

Maybe if you learn to READ better THAN YOU KNOW TO CALL PEOPLE NAMES, YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND what I wrote!-*** CAN'T FIX!

For your entertainment, I will respond anyway...

You are a complete *** if you think that there is ANY company who loans money and isn't going to be able to put a mark on your credit if you don't pay. Sheer idiocy. There's no other words for it.

You said "it is not a loan it is my invention, what would I need a loan for, again IT IS MY INVENTION. "

Heres the lesson. ***... you signed LOAN papers. It's a LOAN. Don't ask me why you signed LOAN papers. You obviously signed them, and they obviously LOANED you money. You're the only person who knows why you would be inclined to take out a LOAN. Perhaps it is because you thought you were paying for this company (who might be a scam) to do work. You BORROWED the money to pay their fee. Now you have a debt that must be repaid. What a concept! I mean, they have a contract that says you'll pay them, and wow, they want to be paid. And guess what, they will sue you for payment and they will win. Even your wages and bank accounts can be seized because you have a legally binding contract with the loan company. They would not be in business long if they just let every *** like you just stop paying.

Now, if you want to talk about not getting the services you PAID for (with a LOAN), then you might sound like you have a clue, but NO, you sound like a raving lunatic. If I were you, I would be trying to prove fraud (this requires a lawyer. and a brain.)

So go ahead and tell me how wrong I am, and see how that works out for you. You may very well have a real complaint about the company, but you're fixated on the wrong thing. Yes, you got screwed, but you screwed yourself the minute you agreed to pay their fee (think of this as ***-tax), and you screwed yourself again the minute you signed LOAN papers to pay their fee. Wake up and smell the real world for a moment... there are no companies in America that LOAN money to people and say "oh, we'll just stop billing you if you can't pay". You need to adjust your medication or something. ***.

For your info mr.too bad, it was explained to me, I am paying for services which the company Universal would be handling the account for Invent Help and which is a private company whom does not mark credit because this company is hired by Invent Help to process and is a private company with no access to clients credit, it is not a loan it is my invention, what would I need a loan for, again IT IS MY INVENTION. My payments are to go toward finding a producing my invention on the market not a loan! I did not apply for a car, boat or a house through this company, so again what is the loan for? And if you want to talk to people like you have tord me, why do you go talk to your kids like this while reading what I wrote Again. I do believe you missed something a long the way! I do not need for you to tell me something of what I know of NOW, which I HAVE BEEN TAKEN FOR A RIDE THROUGH THIS COMPANY INVENT HELP! The damage is done nor do I need to hear you call me names.

If it is ok with you, Please do not send feed back because you seem to be angry and need to send that anger in a different direction other than mine. To hear anymore on behalf of what your brain is understanding, thinking on my complaint needs to be revised in your own mind.

This company is a Scam and I was tricked into signing this contract under false information and if you can not understand you have no business writing on behalf of what you think you really do not know. HOW DARE YOU!

IF THIS COMPANY IS UP TO PAR, I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TOLD INSTEAD OF APPLING FOR A HOUSE loan 3 months later to be questioned by the loan company about this large loan from Invent Help/Universal and being charged a large sum for interest and other charges because THIS MESS ON MY CREDIT WHEN IT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE ON MY CREDIT AT ALL!!!

Anonymous
#223577

It seems you are quite delusional... what makes you think a loan contract even needs to mention credit reports? Seriously, you need to relax and listen to somebody instead of acting like a nut job.

The fact that you may have been lied to by the salesperson is a different matter that you should certainly pursue legally. A good lawyer would tell you if this is a valid case (I am not a lawyer). It seems you are not really serious since you spew crazy accusations at anybody who is trying to give you advice on your terrible situation, but what do I know. Not much. For all I know you could be posting this from a mental ward.

Good luck. I predict you will be in this situation again someday. Just a guess.

you work for them!!!!

I will not use this as an learning experience due to the fact that I WAS TRICKED INTO SIGNING THIS CONTRACT HAD THIS COMPANY TOLD ME THE TRUTH, I WOULD NOT HAVE SIGNED THAT DAY!! And befor you go slurring your words around without reading the contract, how can you talk on behalf which makes me think/know you work for this DOWN LOW COMPANY WHOM BLOWS SMOKE!

Anonymous
#223349

It's too bad that you do not understand some basic facts about doing business.

1) Everybody lies

2) Contracts matter

It doesn't matter what they say to you. What matters is the papers you sign. Next time, if you have a question, get the answer in writing and make sure the contract specifically addresses your concern.

Also, you keep saying it's a 'private company' like that means something. A private company will collect their debts in the same way as a public company. What makes you think a private company, whose only job is to collect your payments, is going to let you slide if you lose your job and can't make payments? If anything, it will make them be *more* aggressive in collecting from you. You signed a contract, essentially you took out a loan. InventHelp already got their money, probably, from Universal. Now Universal gets to collect the money from you since they probably have already paid an agreed amount to InventHelp. This is the way things work, and you need to understand this so you don't get screwed over by even more people.

You agreed to a fee. You borrowed the money to pay the fee. Now you have to pay the loan. It really is quite simple. You will probably find, if you read the papers, that InventHelp has done everything they said they would do in the fee agreement. In fact, you may find they didn't agree to do much... If you can find something in the agreement (written, not spoken) that they did not do, then you have a valid complaint against InventHelp, but unfortunately you still have a valid loan on record with Universal, so you're screwed.

Use it as a learning experience.

I did go through the Better Business Bureau and the out come is, Invent Help/Universal Inc, would make settlement of $1500.00 and remove this mess off my credit report. If I would accept, I would have to remove this complaint off of Pissed of Consumers.com and Complaints.com befor they agree to what they agree to.

Invent Help/Universal Inc.

claims I owe them $2000.00, but yet I paid them a total of $6000.00 so far and for the months I have started this claim, I am still being charged and this is how Invent Help/Universal Inc.

comes up with I owe them $2000.00. I said the the BBB, for what do I owe this money for, AIR?

That they take your money and then your invention if you don't have any money. Capitalism sucks.

They all do this they all know the law. When they are done they will have your invention.

Apparently one year after your initial description. If you don't do anything about your invention legaly. They will take it from you and that is lawful by patenting rights rules. This is amazing but this is your beloved america.Capitalism.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE ANY OF THE INVENTION HELP COMPANIES, no matter what they tell you.

If you have an invention, go to nolo.com , and get some free information there. You may wish to get the book "Patent it Yourself", or a program of the same name (I think). They may also have other things available.

In no case will a "help" agency help you, and it is for certain they will over-charge you for anything they may do. A patent lawyer is a much better bet if you can spend thousands of dollars, but, you should be able to use the "Patent it Yourself" information if you are capable of making an invention that has markiet potential. As far as marketing goes: look around on the internet and find some companies who sell similar products or products in the same general class as yours. Contact them with what you have AFTER you file your patent (if you are going to patent it, of course). If it has market value, they will tell you by their reaction and they will be interested in selling it. Then, you have to get it manufactured or produced or whatever. The marketing companies may have some resources for that, but remember, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE IS GOING TO HELP YOU WITHOUT TRYING TO GET A LOT OF MONEY FROM YOU, OR, TRYING TO GET THE PRODUCT FOR THEMSELVES!

One last thing: I don't think I would trust anyone who runs late-night or off-hour ads on TV, radio, etc. It is not that their could not be one that is honest, but, the odds are stacked WAY HIGH against that.

Good Luck.

Larry

So what company have you come across that will just stop charging you for a service that you signed up for just because you don't have the money? Of course they told you different than what wa in the contract because you wouldn't of signed it!

Look up US contract law.

What is on the contract cannot be overridden just because someone tells you differently. If I give tou a contract to sign that is written as i'll take your money every month and then I TELL you, " oh don't worry I won't take your money if you run out of money" what do you think will happen?

You run into your sentences which does not make sense and looks like a 3rd grader wrote it.

I think you should stick to buying on e-bay instead of reading and writing.

I do recongnize your name from e-bay when I was looking for a computer.

I do not understand why you would even write about something you do not understand which is 1, when you have an invention and need manufacturing help for your product, you find a place as in Invent Help, but when you are lied to and sign papers under false information, well then it is what it is and the company should give you back your money for 2 and all the information you gave to them in order to process your product for 3 and be done with it.

So, what part do you not believe?

I AM NO *** AND DO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING! AND I KNOW HOW DO READ THE PAPER WORK AND THE QUESTIONS TO ASK.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE PATENT PART THIS IS THE FACT THAT I WAS TOLD IF I NEED TO PUT MY ACCOUNT ON HOLD I WOULD BE ABLE TO NUMBER 1 AND NUMBER 2 I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD NOT GO AGAINST MY CREDIT AND IT HAS.

YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO READ BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW AND DO NOT KNOW!

Hate to possibly fan your flames, but have you done any research into what patents cost? You can *easily* spend $15k if doing all of the legwork yourself - at face value it appears you're describing that Invent help basically makes no money on the pre-patent costs and only really makes money later (~20%) for facilitating the process. You really need to understand that when you patent something you're basically cornering the market on that idea for a long time. You need to be prepared to go after it and not squat hoping someone else will come along and throw money at you because you had an idea.

Next, it seems you're complaining that a discussion should override a contract you signed? I don't think so; but if there are others out there that agree the same is done as a practice maybe you'd have a complaint. Otherwise you just seem bitter because an idea you haven't pursued with much vigor didn't make you into an overnight millionaire.

Sorry, I don't buy this "I told him I was worried about losing my job before agreeing to a large expense" bit.. If that were valid and there were no consequences this invent help company would be broke. Man up and pay your debts.
